The Next Rich Froning

So Mike has Kellen in training already to be the next Rich Froning (it's a CrossFit reference). And Kellen is taking on the challenge. He loves to work out with Dad!

Cruisin' Together

Now that the weather is starting to cool off, we took the opportunity to walk down to the Borrego Days Festival at Christmas Circle. Kellen even let me put him in his trendy hat.  Yay for fall in the desert - we made it through another summer!

Diddy

Kellen loves his kitties - or as he calls them, diddies. He gets excited to see them every day when he gets home from daycare. I'm sure the cats wish he would just stay away but they put up with his "gentle pets" and snuggles pretty well.

Summer Survival

We met Kellen's friend at the pool for some cool playtime. We often frequent the pool after work and on weekends. It's been about 110 degrees the past few weeks - and 114 is in the forecast later this week. To the water we go!

Some friendly guests lent us their float.

Date Day

Mama and Dad enjoyed a fantastic day to themselves while Kellen had fun with the Puzzos at the beach house. We went to a few wineries and took in all the green that Connecticut has to offer. Thanks to Peggy, Larry, Lynn, Amy and Molly for giving us some time to ourselves!

Smoothie Face

Enjoying the Connecticut coast with a little smoothie and a little "naughty face." Kellen's favorite.

Chip Dip

Who needs silverware when there's a chip around? He is something else, that boy.

Trip to the Stix

We joined one of Briana's co-workers at a party in "the stix" about an hour south of us. The property is south of Cuyamaca and was absolutely beautiful. Kellen got some tractor time in and also was able to hold baby chicks. A good time was had by all.

Birthday Boy

Well, we survived Kellen's first year - and so did he! Our collective survival was celebrated on Gramama and Grandaddy's patio on a warm Sunday afternoon with family (Clark, Eleanor, and Grandma Doska) and a few close friends.

Gramama made a delicious chocolate zucchini cake

Unfortunately, Kellen's doc recommended that we limit eggs. Instead, he enjoyed a vegan cake -- and luckily he didn't know what he was missing!

So good at sharing

Bites all around!
